What Peec AI actually is

Strip away the category label and Peec AI is a project-based monitoring system. A project bundles one brand, its competitors, a prompt set, topics, tags, a target country, and a selection of AI models, and everything else hangs off that frame. The Overview screen summarizes brand and source performance; a Prompts section stores the exact model conversations along with their query fanouts; Domains and URLs turn raw citations into classified opportunities, sorted into owned, earned, and reference; a newer Actions surface clusters recommended work; and Crawl Insights adds log analysis of AI bot traffic hitting your own site. Two commercial shapes sit on top of this: brand plans and a genuinely distinct agency line, where the agency tiers add pooled usage credits, client seats, and temporary pitch workspaces rather than just reselling seats. The product is also moving fast. Following a $21 million Series A reported by TechCrunch in November 2025, Peec shipped Actions in February 2026, MCP connectivity in April, AI Shopping Analytics in June, and a dedicated Query Fanouts page plus an Ads analysis page in July. That cadence is a selling point and, as we note below, occasionally a complaint.

Using it in practice

Peec's own quickstart claims setup takes under ten minutes: create a project, define the brand and competitors, add or generate prompts, pick models and a country, and launch. The first full insight set is expected 24 to 48 hours later, so what you have on day one is a configured research frame, not trend data. The working rhythm after that is a drill-down loop. You filter the Overview by date, model, country, competitor, topic, or tag; spot a visibility or citation change; open the affected prompt or URL; and inspect both the exact model answer and the actual page content the model retrieved. From there, Actions frames the remedy as either owned content work or earned-media placement. The URL detail view is the most operational part of this: citation rate, retrieval counts, associated prompts, first and last seen dates, per-model trends, and which brands appear on the cited page. Two practical cautions from the G2 record: one reviewer found onboarding difficult without personal guidance, which matters because the self-serve tiers come with chat or email support rather than custom onboarding, and another described the pace of feature releases as overwhelming to keep up with.

What the pricing actually buys

The $95 entry price is real, but two structural details shape the effective cost. First, prompt allowances are pooled across projects, not duplicated per project: an Advanced subscriber running five projects divides 350 prompts among them rather than getting 350 each. Second, engine coverage is gated. The default engine set is six deep, spanning ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity, and Gemini, but every self-serve tier selects only three; a fourth engine costs $35, $85, or $165 per month depending on tier, so a team that wants all six pays materially more than the headline suggests. Looker Studio reporting arrives only at the Advanced tier, and the API and SSO are Enterprise-only. On the generous side, all self-serve brand tiers (Starter, Pro, Advanced) include unlimited users, and annual billing carries roughly a 15 percent discount. The agency line prices in credits, where one credit equals one prompt run against one model on one day, with a 900-credit minimum per project; those plans add client seats and seven-day pitch projects that let an agency audit a prospect without burning a permanent workspace. Net assessment for its bracket: the structure rewards a focused prompt set on three engines and quietly penalizes engine breadth and automation.

Who it's for — and who should skip it

The clearest fit is a brand or marketing team that wants daily, prompt-level competitive monitoring with minimal setup and is comfortable working inside the dashboard. The second clear fit is agencies: pitch projects, pooled credits, and per-client seats map directly onto agency economics, and Peec's own Radyant case study describes use across more than 50 startup clients, with pitch projects used to expose prospect gaps, though that is vendor-published evidence. Buyers who should look elsewhere fall into four groups. Teams that need programmatic access on a modest budget should note the API requires Enterprise and is a beta v0 explicitly subject to breaking changes, rate-limited at 200 requests per minute per project. Teams that want to tie AI visibility to site traffic in one place should note a G2 reviewer asked for GA4 integration and the public plan matrix lists Looker Studio instead of a native GA4 connector. Teams that need all six default engines monitored cheaply will find the three-engine default works against them. And anyone expecting validated prescriptive guidance should know that Actions addresses the recommendation gap directionally, but no public outcome validation for its suggestions has been supplied.

Evidence and limitations

The independent record is positive but thin: a 4.9 G2 rating rests on 11 reviews. Within that small base, reviewers consistently praise the focused interface, the ability to move from a summary metric to a source URL and exact prompt response, useful clickstream and query-popularity context, and responsive support. The criticisms are equally specific: one reviewer wanted far more explanation of why a model chose a source, and Peec's URL content view aids investigation without making model selection causally transparent — what you get is evidence of retrieval and citation, not proof of ranking weight. On the vendor side, Peec is unusually open by category standards, publishing its metric formulas, API schemas, and rate limits, plus large-sample studies: 30 million cited sources across five US AI platforms, 20 million ChatGPT query fanouts collected between October 2025 and January 2026 showing average fanout length doubling, and a roughly 500,000-prompt analysis of AI Overviews. All of it is vendor research — useful as directional ecosystem evidence, not an independent benchmark — and the Momentum case claiming a ten-fold visibility gain is vendor-selected outcome evidence. Two entitlement questions remain publicly unstated and belong on any procurement checklist: which brand tiers include Crawl Insights, and whether MCP access, documented on the top agency plan, extends to brand Enterprise.
